Subject: In the Face of Fire, We Choose Nonviolence

Dear Friend,

This week, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu declared that “further talks will happen only under fire.” These words do not represent us. They do not represent the countless Israelis and Palestinians who know that violence only deepens wounds and distances us from peace.

Across Israel, people are taking to the streets - protesting not only for democracy, but calling loudly and clearly for an end to the violence in Gaza. We are refusing to accept that "fire" is the only language we speak and demanding a new political direction - one of justice, safety, and dignity for all. We know that true security will never come from domination or force, but from political imagination, mutual recognition, and collective liberation.

The world is watching. Across Europe, leaders have voiced strong condemnation of the renewed bombardment, calling for an immediate ceasefire and urgent humanitarian access to Gaza. There is growing international pressure demanding that Israel end its military campaign and that all parties return to dialogue, not destruction. Protesters are flooding the streets in major European capitals, alongside those in Israel, demanding that the violence against Palestinians stop and that every life be valued equally.

Nonviolence is not passive - it is a powerful act of resistance against hatred and despair. It is the insistence that another way is possible, even when our leaders tell us otherwise. In these dark times, our work - and your support - matter more than ever.

In this moment, when the rhetoric of fire dominates the headlines, it is more urgent than ever that we stand up together for peace, justice, and human dignity. Right now, our Israeli and Palestinian activists are putting themselves on the front line - standing in protest, participating in joint actions, and refusing to let violence define our future. As we face attacks at every level - political, social, and personal - we are fighting to preserve our existence and ensure the Palestinian voice is not silenced.

We will not turn away as the death toll in Gaza rises, each life a world lost. And we will not forget the Israeli hostages still in captivity abandoned by their own government, human lives caught in a cycle of suffering that must end. Together, we will keep working to end this unimaginable violence - for every life already lost, and for every life that can still be saved.

Our message to the children of Gaza,

We see you. We hear you. And though we cannot take away your fear or your pain, we carry your voices in our hearts.

You deserve safety. You deserve laughter, play, and dreams — not fear, rubble, and loss.

We are working for a future where you can grow up free, in peace, with dignity and hope.

Please know: you are not forgotten and we will never stop fighting for a world where you can simply be children.

With love and hope,

Combatants for Peace
