Subject: 15th Memorial Ceremony: we need your support !

Dear friends

We don't usually write emails like this, but the Corona Virus is creating an urgent situation: our annual joint Israeli-Palestinian Memorial Ceremony will soon be upon us, on April 27 2020, and we have to make drastic, last minute changes to accommodate the new regulations worldwide. Peace, justice and equality cannot be put on hold. Please send in your gift today to ensure that we can hold the Memorial Ceremony.

Together we can light the candle of hope in these uncertain times.

Our Memorial Ceremony, co-hosted by the Parents Circle - Families Forum, is a beacon of hope for Israelis and Palestinians alike. It is the largest annual event for the Peace community in all of Israel, and we cannot afford to lose it. Our Ceremony is the place where Israelis and Palestinians are safe to express their desires for peace, empathy and freedom without scorn or painful consequence from the often hostile and aggressive right wing. It has opened the path to activism and advocacy for thousands of people and brings the occupation to light in the mainstream consciousness.

We desperately need your help to raise the funds necessary to host this Ceremony.

Everything is changing: our location, our technology, our publicity and our means of participation. Yet, as the world has skidded to a halt, donations have halted as well... and we don't have the funding we need. Our message of hope and solidarity cannot wait. Finding light in this darkness has become more urgent than ever before.
