Presentation of the Matura Dissertations Within the scope of the Matura thesis, the students of this year's twelfth grade have been working on a topic of their own choice for one year.
Following the submission of their written work, they will now present their results to the Matura committee and teachers on 6 February. The topics range from cryptocurrencies to 3D printing architectural models. We look forward to interesting presentations. For orientation and preparation, 11th grade students are also attending as guest auditors. |

Career Day During Career Day on February 7, professionals unfold their personal journeys and share insights. Students from grades 10 to 12 acquire priceless perspectives on real-world careers, fostering opportunities to establish connections with industry experts. This event encourages our students to question, broaden their perspectives, and fuel their passions. |

Canteen Payment: Cash Only On 9 February, the RIS will be closed and the regular cafeteria operations will be limited. Some booths will be open for our school, but only cash will be accepted. Therefore, we would like to ask you to provide your child with sufficient cash for snack and lunch sales on this day. Children in preschool through 1st grade with a lunch kit will have lunch delivered to their classes as usual. |

Literature Rap Session We are delighted to welcome rappers from the German-speaking countries to our school for a literature reading on 12 February from 10:00–11:30. The embassies of Switzerland, Germany, and Austria are organizing this event together with our school for the students of grades 7 to 12 in the Performing Art Center PAC of the RIS. Parents are welcome to attend this event but are asked to register via s.meier@ris-swiss-section.org. |

Open House Day On 20 February, we will once again open our classrooms to our parents. The teachers and all students welcome you to visit our school from 7:30 to 14:30 that day and see how we work together in the classroom. The lessons will take place according to the regular timetable, which you can find in Escola. We look forward to welcoming you to the school for this event. |

Chinese New Year Parade On 20 February, we will celebrate Chinese New Year at the school. At 8:15, our Kindergarten and Basic Level classes will parade through the school, singing and dancing, and everyone is invited to join. All students, and of course parents, are welcome to dress in Chinese costumes on that day. |

EduCafé: Cyberbullying, Awareness of Computer Games, and Gaming Addiction Date: Thursday, 22 February Time: 08:30–9:30 Location: Music Room, RIS Swiss Section Language: English with German and Thai translations Target Audience: suitable for parents of children of all age groups. Children today are often part of the digital world, navigating virtual spaces effortlessly as "Digital Natives." However, parents may occasionally struggle to keep up. On Anti-Bullying-Day, the school will conduct joint activities on this topic. Simultaneously, EduCafé is proud to present a workshop for parents addressing "cyberbullying, awareness of computer games, and gaming addiction". |

Language Camps in Europe In cooperation with the language camp operator Alpadia, we offer secondary school students the opportunity to attend German and French language courses in Switzerland, Germany, and France during the summer vacations. In addition, our teacher Mr. Broto will be sending out recommendations to 11th grade students for a Spanish language study trip during the summer break. |

School Carnival On 8 February, we celebrate Carnival at our school: all the students are invited to come to school dressed up in costume. In the 5th lesson from 11:10 to 11:55, the students of the primary school can celebrate in the sports hall. Parents are also cordially invited – with or without costumes. |

Professional Internship Class 9 and Special Week Secondary During the first half of the school year, our 9th graders were introduced to the topic of vocational training and were given the task of applying for a company internship. From 5–16 February, they will do their internships at different companies in various industries. All other students of the secondary level can enjoy their special week from 12–16 February. |

Field Trip Primary and Special Week A highlight of this semester for the primary school will be the special week and field trip. These will take place from 12–16 February and provide our classes with exciting extracurricular education in an environment outside of their familiar setting – also strengthening class communities. |

No Pausenbrot Sale Please note that there will be no Pausenbrot Sale at our school during the field trip/special week from 12–16 February. Kindly provide your child with a healthy snack during that week. |

Update Afternoon Courses The second season of our afternoon courses ends on 2 February. Course sessions canceled during Season 2 will be made up during the week of 5 to 9 February. Season 3 will then commence on 19 February and will run until 7 June. Registration opens on 29 January. We have extended the duration of this season to 13 weeks to ensure a seamless offering until one week before the summer holidays without additional administrative effort. Please note that the prices for internal courses are calculated per unit (45/90 minutes). Thirteen units of 45 minutes each cost 2,900 THB. For 13 units of 90 minutes each, the price is 5,800 THB per course. External course providers charge their own prices. For more information about the afternoon courses, visit our school website.
