Restored Hope Network Hosts First Annual Conference in Portland with Featured Speaker Dr. Larry Crabb
Dozens of agencies and those struggling with gender confusion converge June 27-28
Portland,
Oregon (June 27) – There is a growing trend toward acceptance of the
LGBT lifestyle and gay marriage. This has left many in the church
confused and bewildered about what exactly is the truth. This weekend
hundreds of people will meet to share their own stories of change and
listen to speakers who will sift through the disinformation about
homosexuality.
The
Restored Hope Network is a coalition of dozens of organizations and
agencies dedicated to providing help, hope, counseling, and resources
for those who choose to leave the gay lifestyle. Executive director,
Anne Paulk, has been a key spokesperson on issues related to
homosexuality for many years. Her tenure at Focus on the Family coupled
with her personal testimony of freedom from a lesbian past, gives her
firsthand knowledge about the possibility of change through the power of
Christ.
Anne
Paulk says: "The annual conference is a chance for those affected by
gender and relational confusion to find common ground in their path
toward healing. What’s missing in the present cultural discussion is
any indication that change is possible or necessary for those who
desperately seek it."
Plenary sessions and workshops are presented by a host of therapists such as Dr.
Larry Crabb, Dr. Joseph Nicolosi, and Drs Sandy and Earl Wilson. Additional
speakers and workshop teachers Include: Andrew Comiskey, Frank Worthen,
Anne Paulk, Dr. David Foster, and Dr. Rob Gagnon.
