Space: Beyond the Fixation on Solidity

Join us in the first event of our new series

The Freedom of Letting Go: Time, Space and Knowledge Explorations

With Ignacio Ercole

Wednesday, January 21, 2026, 5:00-6:00pm PT

Location: 2210 Harold Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

This event is FREE and open to the public!

Four talks based on Time, Space, and Knowledge Vision guided by the unifying theme of letting go. Often, we hold too tightly to the grip of linear time, the solidity of fixed boundaries, or the certainty of a self-centered knowledge. These habits and points of views shape how we experience the world and how we limit “our own” freedom. Through guided reflections, silent practice, and explorations with music and sound, each session opens a new way of being. The series culminates in an integration and discussions of these insights, revealing how the act of letting go helps open us into wholeness, creativity, and deeper connection.

Space: Beyond the Fixation on Solidity

We often treat the world as made up of solid things set against empty space. But when we only focus on solidity, we overlook the deeper dimensions of space itself. This fixation creates a sense of confinement, personally, socially, and even globally. By opening our perspective, we can experience space as expansive and alive. This shift reduces anxiety, softens rigid divisions, and allows us to relate more freely and sensitively to ourselves, to others, and to our environment.

Who is this for?

This series is for those seeking a fresh, secular vision of authentic ways of living, people who are not satisfied with easy, ready-made answers but who long for a deep yet playful approach to complement their journey of transformation. Instead of centering on “the self,” these talks invite a shift toward experience, relation, and presence. Each session offers an exploratory approach, where participants are encouraged to embody meaningful questions that open new ways of seeing the world. It is a welcoming introduction for those curious about the TSK vision, as well as a rich continuation for those already familiar with it and wishing to deepen practice in a more creative, artistic, and experiential way.

Unfreezing the Future

Dealing with Change by Riding the Dynamic of Time

With Jack Petranker

Thursday January 29th, one session, 5:00-6:30pm

Location: 2210 Harold Way, Berkeley, CA 94704

This event is FREE and open to the public!

Today, more than ever, change is the only constant. We try to deal with it by making plans and trying to make them happen: I’ll live here; I’ll succeed in my career; I’ll have great children. But how does that work out in practice? Right now, are you where you thought you would be? Have you accomplished what you hoped to do? Are you surprised by how things have gone? By what is going on right now in the U.S.?

Look at your own life, and you will see that the future seldom unfolds the way we thought it would. Trying to freeze the future in place with our plans is a hopeless task.

We can do it differently. Instead of trying to make things turn out the way we want, we can let the dynamic of the always-arriving future power our lives from moment to moment—an endless source of creativity and an unending resource for fulfillment.

Online Programs

The Complexity of the Intimate

With Adrian Roman

Saturday, January 31st & Saturday, February 7th

12pm - 3pm Eastern (9am – 12am Pacific)

Online via Zoom

Cost: $50

“The Complexity of the Intimate” is a two-part, experiential workshop that explores intimacy not just as romantic closeness, but as the everyday ways we learn to be present, honest, and connected with ourselves and others.

Drawing on somatic practices, meditation, and insights from teachers like bell hooks, adrienne maree brown, Tarthang Tulku and Lama Rod Owens. We’ll slow down together, explore intimacy as resonance, trust, recognition of awareness and practice relating from a place of presence rather than ingrained patterns.

Whether you’re looking to deepen relationships, understand your emotional patterns, or cultivate a more grounded sense of connection, this workshop offers practical tools and spacious reflection to support a more authentic, courageous intimacy.
