There's lots to do this weekend at the Nutcracker Village. Take a look at what's in store, along with a quick look at events to come later this month!

The Christmas House Tour in Steubenville's Historic North End returns December 9th! In addition to the five houses from last year's tour, we have added 5 new houses, including the James Means House and the Steubenville Board of Education house!

This is a self-guided tour in an open house style with all houses on the tour being open from 1-3pm. There will be refreshments provided at the last house on the tour. Click the picture above for more info or the button below to buy tickets!

Gluhwein Garden


Translating to "glow wine," the green space across from Leonardo's will be transformed into a Gluhwein Garden to offer warm drinks to everyone braving the cold. From 3pm-8pm on Fridays and 1pm-8pm on Saturdays and Sundays, the Hidden Acres Winery will be providing wine. All proceeds go to the Steubenville Cultural Trust, a 501(c)3 responsible for the Nutcracker Village!

The Children's Corner

On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from November 25 - January 1, stop by the Children's Corner at 338 Market Street, Steubenville, OH for a break from the cold. You can enjoy free facepainting, Christmas Crafts and games, pictures with Santa, and more!

The Artistry of the Nativity: The Dvorsky Collection


NEW for 2023! Come explore The Artistry of the Nativity exhibit: Broadway star George Dvorsky’s extensive collection of crèches is showcased in one of the historic 4th Street storefronts, beginning November 21 through January 6. Dvorsky’s collection of 300 nativities from around the world is open for viewing Fridays 5pm-8pm, Saturdays 12pm-6pm, and Sundays 12p-6pm, and weekdays by appointment! Polar Express Hay Rides


Ride the Polar Express Hayride - everyone rides for free! Pick up is at the Children's Corner, 338 Market Street, every half hour between 6pm-8pm on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

4th Street Advent Market


Local artisans and crafters set up their wares in tents in the Gluhwein Garden. Grab some hot mulled wine or cider and shop local this year!

Christmas at the Fort


Celebrate Christmas in the Historic Fort Steuben with the model train village, letters to Santa, Steubenville Art Association Show & Sale, Christmas Shoppe, and much, much more!

Ohio Valley Folk Dancers: End of Year Recital

Come enjoy the beautiful German Folk Dancing performances by the Ohio Valley Folk Dancers! Located on the 3rd floor of Leonardo's Coffeehouse. Admission is free!

St. Lucy's Feast: An Inaugural Scandinavian Tradition


St. Lucy & the St. Peter's Children's Choir will welcome visitors with songs and candle light to commemorate the feast day of this great saint! The Gluhwein Garden will be open with hot mulled wine and cider, and treats will be handed out to children!

Ben-David Warner & Friends return to the Sycamore Center yet again for a unique and intimate Christmas concert featuring Celtic, Folk, and Carol music!

Nutcracker Masquerade Ball


Join us for a Christmas Masquerade Ball at the historic Renaissance Ballroom above Leonardo's Coffeehouse! This will be a Black Tie Masquerade affair, so grab you finest dress, dancing shoes, and a mysterious mask! Zach Foreman, of Pittsburgh, will be teaching the Waltz this evening and leading other ballroom dances. This event made possible thanks to Nelson's of Steubenville, Leonardo's Coffeehouse, and the Steubenville Cultural Trust.
