Subject: How do Catholics feel about Memorial Day?

Under the level winter sky
I saw a thousand Christs go by.
They sang an idle song and free
As they went up to calvary.

Careless of eye and coarse of lip,
They marched in holiest fellowship.
That heaven might heal the world, they gave
Their earth-born dreams to deck the grave.

With souls unpurged and steadfast breath
They supped the sacrament of death.
And for each one, far off, apart,
Seven swords have rent a woman's heart.

Memorial Day is Monday, May 27th

This annual federal holiday--the unofficial first day of Summer-- brings together some of the most unique elements of American society.

The contrast of solemn ceremonies and prayers,
alongside parades, barbecues, and baseball games,
makes Memorial Day one of the most uniquely American of all holidays.

On this day, we gather together to remember the honored dead as well as their families, who, in the words of Abraham Lincoln, "have laid so costly a sacrifice upon the altar of Freedom."

Catholic to the Max is honored to provide prayer cards and Military-themed gifts for both those in the service as well as their families. Through these items, produced in Steubenville, Ohio, we hope to bring courage, gratitude, and the protection of St. Michael the Archangel to all those in or connected with the Military.
