The Secret of Lenten Alchemy
The sound of gold coins in a big sack—the kind you saw in old cartoons with a dollar sign on the outside—being plopped down on your desk is something our POS systems can’t seem to replicate. Those satisfying metallic clinks seem to sing “do you hear that? You’re making money!”, while all your computer can do is beep and stare back at you.

What I’d like to offer you today is more money in sales from an often-overlooked category: beautiful stuff for Lent, “beholdits” as I like to call them.

Think of Lenten products as the extra coin sack that you didn’t know was there, under your desk.

But, wait, you already bought for Lent, right?

Bookstores are so heavily courted by publishers this time of year, it’s easy to think that books and pamphlets are all you'll need to impress customers with your “Lent Section.”

We, the stuff-makers of the Catholic market, beg to differ. Catholics don’t just read for Lent—they like to surround themselves with beautiful stuff, too.

After all, what customer wouldn’t pay $6 for this incredible poster featuring the Stations of the Cross?

Eagle Scouts who love their Catholic faith also love to build outdoor Stations Shrines. Win their loyalty as future parents (and sacrament gift customers) by being the hero who finds the images for their Eagle Scout project today.

The famous crucifixes of Giotto and San Damiano have inspired prayer in saints and ordinary faithful for centuries. Tell these stories to your customers and watch their imaginations take flight.

It’s fun to wear an #Ashtag t-shirt on Ash Wednesday. Every young Catholic wants one. It’s cheesy, but in a cool sort of way. It works.

So, do your store a favor and hunt for customer treasures in the “Lent stuff” category we’ve created online. When you’re ready to make your order, give us a call, send an e-mail, or conveniently make your order right there on the website.

The extra business you’ll find with Lenten beholdits from Nelson's will appear as new SKUs in your POS report, bigger numbers in your bank account, and smiles on your customers’ faces.  To the untrained eye, it doesn't look like a sack of good coins with a dollar sign on it, but you and I know better.

Stations of the Cross

Framed in a rich, satin-finish cherry wood frame under premium clear glass, this set of 14 stations may grace any church, chapel, or retreat center.

We've shipped many of these sets to Iraq and Afghanistan over the years to supply military field chapels for the armed forces.

Shipping to Catholic stores or drop shipment customers is easy.
#Ashtag T-shirts
This shirt features the typical ashes Catholics receive on Ash Wednesday on their forehead, but with a modern twist!

"Remember, you are dust and to dust you shall return."

People buy this every Lent.

Let them find it at your store this time.
For God So Loved the World

Hang a copy on your store wall and watch as customers stare in silence.
