The nutcrackers are getting antsy.

Powered by warm smiles and hot cocoa, the Nelson's of Steubenville and the Old Fort Steuben Project are excited to bring you this year's Steubenville Nutcracker Village and Advent Market! Free and open to the public, the world's largest display of life-size nutcrackers will be right here in downtown Steubenville. Only here will you be able to find over 150+ towering nutcrackers, unique food and gifts, live music and dance, with a tree lighting and fireworks - all in one place. It's sure to be a season you won't want to miss, and one you surely won't forget.

Nutcracker Village

The world's largest collection of life-size nutcrackers - over 150 and growing - will be on display throughout the entire holiday season! Free and open 24 hours a day!

Advent Market

Our Christkindlmarkt is filled with unique toys, gifts, and local food!

Fridays: 2 - 8pm
Saturdays: 2 - 8pm
Sundays: 1 - 6pm

Light Up the Night

November 24, 2020

Join us for our 2020 Opening Night at the Nutcracker Village! The Advent Market will be open 3PM-8PM

The tree lighting will take place at 6PM, followed by a firework show!

Blessing of the Village Nativity Scene and Advent Wreaths

November 29, 2020 at 2PM

Everyone is encouraged to bring their Advent Wreaths and nativities to have them blessed.

Children's Lantern Parade

*Date To Be Announced

"Laternelaufen" is a German tradition where children walk along the streets holding colorful lanterns.

All parade attendees are encouraged to make and bring their own lanterns and follow St. Nicholas through the streets of downtown Steubenville to the Nativity scene at the Steubenville Nutcracker Village.

Nutcracker Magic Parade

December 5th, 12 - 1PM

Running through the heart of downtown Steubenville, the parade will begin on North Street, travel down 4th Street, and reach its finale on South Street. The parade will feature Nutcracker-themed decorations and characters alongside some of our life-size nutcrackers themselves!

Nutcracker Drumline

December 13th, 4PM

Come see the Nutcracker Drumline at the Nutcracker Village! Several high school drum lines will perform together to bring a little Nutcracker Spirit to Steubenville!

Experience all this and more, beginning on Sunday, November 4th, 2020 at 3PM. Hope to see you there!

Volunteers needed!

The mission of the Nutcracker Village and Advent Market is to be a gift to the people of the Ohio valley - to bring magic and hope to a city ready for its next great story. But in order for us to achieve this, we need your help.

There are no paid employees of the Nutcracker Village - every member donates 100% of their own time and resources - to keep the smiling and laughing returning year after year.

We will need assistance in setup and clean-up, are looking for bus drivers and tour guides, and carpenters and handyman are always welcomed! Please consider making a gift of your time and skills this year at the Steubenville Nutcracker Village and Advent Market.
