WE NEED YOUR HELP

Dear Catholictothemax Family,

On Monday night of this week, a fire erupted in our Steubenville community, destroying a beautiful home. It belonged to a man named David A. Vogel; a strong pro-life advocate, passionate Catholic, and a close friend to us and all in his community.

For those of you have not met David, he has been a loyal customer and friend of ours for years. We first met David while he was performing for CMN at the Heartbeat concert. He has been in the music industry for over 36 years and has toured the world performing and exhibiting his love for God. He even performed a praise holy hour for Pope Saint John Paul II during his final sickness, which the Holy Father watched via livestream during his last hours.

David has never been afraid to be a strong witness for Christ. In the early 2000's, a case involving Theresa Marie Schiavo became a nationwide headline when Ms. Schiavo became terribly sick. She was put on life support, and opposing parties debated taking her off her feeding tube. David traveled to help support her, and was even arrested in attempting to bring Theresa Holy Communion.

David has spent his whole life in ministry - he had also started his own homeless shelter. He has given so much to this world, and right now we're asking the world to give back to him.

Monday night, David lost everything. While he and all those with him were able to escape the building uninjured, his house's entire roof collapsed, destroying his home and all within it. Losing a lifetime's worth of instruments, personal belongings, and so much more David and his family will need help in restarting in this next chapter of life.

But we have hope and have seen the Lord's grace in this difficult time! Although David lost his entire home, David's beloved street ministry monstrance that he took to Rome and to the prayer vigils for Ms. Schiavo was saved (he didn’t keep the Blessed Sacrament in it as he’s not a priest, he would work with local priests as he travelled). Also, a picture of our Lady of Guadeloupe on the outside of his home remained untouched!
