Opportunities to get involved

We have lots of exciting opportunities to take part in that can help you reduce your home carbon emissions and bring the wider systemic change which we need. You can take part in the Citizens' Jury to help decide the future of Greater Manchester's local energy market, learn new eco-retrofit skills at Harrogate College, or play your role in developing the future of flexible energy - supporting the decarbonisation of the grid, with the new phase of PowerShaper Flex.

If you are looking to learn more, don't forget to check out our community forum and social media channels where there are plenty of in-depth topics and discussions to support your entry into the world of retrofit.

Foundations of Eco-Retrofit at Harrogate College

Over the last year, despite the pandemic, there has been huge demand from householders wanting to make energy efficiency improvements to their homes. We know demand is there, but we don’t have enough builders to do the work!

This course gives you a starting point for getting into retrofit, the future of the building industry. The course is taking place on Saturday 12th March and Saturday 19th March.

Thanks to Zero Carbon Harrogate there is a ÂŁ80 discount for those attending from the Harrogate area with the code ZEROCARBON80.

Citizens' Jury - Apply now!

We’re looking for people to take part in a citizens’ jury which will shape how Greater Manchester gets its green energy of the future.

The citizens’ jury will see 12 people, carefully selected to represent the demographics of the city region, come together to help with decision making on the governance of the local energy market.

The deadline to apply to be part of the jury is Monday, 14th March â€” so sign up now!
