Leadership Corner: Feedback
With all of the outside people on campus over the last few weeks, and more coming in the near future, we can be sure we will get plenty of feedback. Be sure the feedback we listen to is worth acting upon. "A lot of cheap seats in the arena are filled with people who never venture onto the floor. They just hurl mean-spirited criticisms and put-downs from a safe distance. The problem is, when we stop caring what people think and stop feeling hurt by cruelty, we lose our ability to connect. But when we’re defined by what people think, we lose the courage to be vulnerable. Therefore, we need to be selective about the feedback we let into our lives." — Brené Brown
Basic Training: Week Six
Unit 64 ventures into its sixth week of training and will be participating in its hardest event so far: the 24-Hour Endurance Hike. Lord willing, the Unit will head out Monday afternoon for Oklahoma, start the hike early Tuesday and be back by Wednesday afternoon. Please be in prayer for the men and for us as their leadership—that we would have great weather, that we would stay healthy and safe, and that we would all finish well.
