| Active Hunting Season Notice Please note our special, one-week MLD hunt running through Saturday, October 31. The General Season begins November 7 (after 12 noon) through February 28.
For everyone's safety, please check with Chris Overby if you're interested in using any areas off the main campus (anything beyond the bluffs, Area 13, or anything north of Lake Loma) from before dawn to at least 30 minutes after sunset.
Hunters and hikers alike may want to use these areas sporadically throughout the week, even during typical "business hours," so please text Chris to see if someone else is already using these off-campus trails. Please wear bright colors and avoid wooded trails at dawn and dusk if possible. March 1 will resume normal usage. |
| Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler This week, almost the entire Battalion is gone. Missions is up in the Yukon for another week; they are due back to campus on November 5. Fire Academy is in Arizona doing flood relief in the Navajo Nation; they return to campus Saturday. Dive left this morning for their Florida trip; they are scheduled to return to campus November 8. Aviation is still here training on campus and working towards soloing. Please pray for safe travels for all of the men in training, and for opportunities to bless those they encounter on the way. |
| Basic Training Update | Maj. Hawley Unit 75 ventures into its seventh week of training and will be participating in its hardest event so far: The 24-Hour Endurance Hike. The Unit left Monday afternoon for Oklahoma and, Lord willing, plans to be back by Wednesday afternoon. Please pray for both the men and the leadership, for safe travels, health, and that everyone will finish well. |
