| Basic Training Update | Maj. Hawley During this coming week, Unit 73 will cross the halfway point in their Basic Training. This is a huge milestone for many of the men, especially for those who have considered quitting; pray that this will help them focus on their training and give them the desire to finish strong.
This week, the Unit will continue learning rope systems and how to use pulleys to create mechanical advantage for hauling heavy loads. They will also learn how to transport a patient in a basket across a river crossing rope system. Their first aid training will be put to the test in their first nighttime search and rescue "Nav-Med" scenario. The Unit will wrap up the week with the 12-Hour Hike.
Please continue to pray for these men as they tackle each obstacle that comes their way. Pray especially for the men who are having difficulty memorizing 1 Peter—that they would apply themselves, focus on their requirements, and recognize the lifelong benefit of memorizing God's Word. |
| Battalion Update | Capt. Winkler Battalion is diving back into class this week after helping with Family Camp. The second half of the quarter always flies by with trips, deployments, and clinicals. Please pray for the men as they head into the back half of the quarter and work to complete their coursework and training. |
