CAMP OMEGA

2026 Mid-Summer Update

Campers and counselors are nearly done with Week 5 of summer camp - meaning summer camp sessions are halfway over! So far this summer, campers of all ages have participated in various programs, including Family Camp, Horse Camp, Leadership Training, Youth Camp, Explorer Camp, and Camp for Adults with Developmental Disabilities. As sad as it is that camp is halfway over, it's exciting to have the opportunity to serve new campers for the rest of the summer! There are so many exciting events and camper groups to look forward to for the rest of the summer who will all experience the joys of outdoors ministry and have the opportunity of a lifetime to grow in their faith.

June Recap

Youth Camp

  • 9-12 year old campers have enjoyed both half-week and full-week stays this summer

  • Some highlights have been the rock wall, the pool, and camp-wide games!

Family Camp

  • Families have enjoyed counselor-led family activities and camp activities

  • Highlights of family camp include s'mores at campfire, singing with family and friends, and the carnival!

Leadership Training

  • High school volunteers spend a week at the beginning of the summer learning leadership skills before serving a week assisting Guides in leading younger campers

  • Those who participated in Leadership Training got to experience team-building challenges and grew in teaching the faith!

Horse Camp

  • During Week 3 of the summer, camp's community grew by 6 as horses arrived for specialty Horse Camp

  • Highlights from Horse Camp include learning how to interact with horses, dressing them up in decorations for a horse parade around the pen, and even bareback riding!

Explorer Camp

  • 6-8 year old campers stay away at camp for two nights full of camp activities

  • At explorer camps this summer, campers have received face paint at the carnival, tried out archery, and had a blast on the slip n' slide!

Adults With Developmental Disabilities Camp

  • Between June 30-July 3, adult campers with developmental disabilities experienced all the joys of main camp!

  • The best parts of DD week were the Dance Party, Talent Show, and campfires!

Looking Forward to the Rest of the Summer...

July 12-17: Camp Indianhead

Camp Indianhead is a one week summer camp that partners with Camp Omega

counselors and staff to serve an entirely new branch of campers at this location.

July 19-24: Art Camp

This awesome specialty camp is offered for both younger and older age groups this year,

which is a new opportunity for campers who love to express themselves creatively and

      learn new artsy skills!

July 26-31: Survivor Camp

This is the toughest of the tough outpost camp, where campers who love spending time

outdoors thrive! Meals are cooked over the fire and sleeping is done in a more traditional

camping style rather than staying in a cabin - this is a week that shouldn't be missed!

August 4-7: Children of Church Workers Camp

This camp is a wonderful opportunity for children of church workers to spend time with

campers and counselors who have similar life experiences - helping them to grow and

challenge their faith through like communities.

...And many more! These are just a few of the upcoming programs that will be running at Camp Omega - along with various retreat groups, servant groups, and other youth camps! What a blessed opportunity to reach these groups of people in such a unique way.

Thank you to all Volunteers
