Subject: The results of the UK Cafe milk price survey

Hi Friend,

Over the last month we have been asking our UK members to complete our Cafe Milk Price survey.

53% of those had their milk delivered by a milkman, 21% from a local shop, 16% from a cash and carry and 10% from a general fresh food supplier.

The lowest price was paid by those who visited a cash and carry at 92p, those who went to a local shop or had a supplier delivery paid £1.10 and if they had a milkman, they paid an average of £1.18.

Overall the average price paid for milk was £1.11 per bottle.

More volume was not a guarantee of a lower price either, as the the largest single user paid 12% above the average for their milk.

You will see from this summary where your business stacks up.

Getting your milk delivered daily is probably the most efficient use of your time, as visiting a shop or cash and carry incurs staff time as well as potential extra transport costs, and moving it around out of refrigeration.

If you are based in the UK then we might be able to reduce your costs. We are working with a number of suppliers who could help, so if you want a chat about potential savings on milk or other products, then please reply to this email.

Cheers

Andrew & Claire
