Costa Coffee ditch charges for alternative milks..
Hi Friend,

It's a good thing for the growing number of vegans and those with an intolerance to cows milk that Costa has stopped charging extra for a plant-based milk alternative.

After lobbying from several Vegan organisations and from customers who are used to not being charged extra at many local independent coffee shops.

Our latest article covers this https://www.cafesuccesshub.com/mylk-is-not-extra/

About 50% of the Independent Coffee Businesses we work with decided a long time ago not to charge extra for plant-based kinds of milk, a decision that has proved to be a great marketing decision.

Costa aims to negate the Indi's competitive advantage and attract more customers.

Of course, a skilled Independent can quickly outperform a chain by doing the things that their guests want that the big boys can't.

Being independent allows you to tailor what you sell absolutely to your local community. You can make or buy menu items that cater to the increasing awareness of food allergies and intolerances, and add innovative and exciting things in a flash.

Our message is, don't worry about the 'Costabucks' of the world - just focus on what your guests want and serve with flair.
