The 2025 Cackle Hatchery Annual Chicken Festival is Almost Here!
Welcome to Cackle Hatchery's Annual Chicken Festival
The Cackle Hatchery Annual Chicken Festival is a free, family-friendly event that we’ve been putting on for more than a decade. This year’s event will take place on Oct. 3 and Oct. 4. at Cackle Hatchery, located at 411 W Commercial Street in Lebanon, MO.
We do our best to ensure there’s always a little something for everyone. Perhaps you want to try some family activities like our hatchery tours, crowing contest, duck races, horse-drawn rides, costume contest, and poultry showcase. If you like what you see, you can even take an animal home with you through our grown fowl silent auction. Parking is free and we also have vendors on site.
Here are some events to look forward to:
Duck Races: These will be held on both days at 10:30 a.m., 2 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Live Music: The Johnny Mace Band will perform both Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Magic Show: This will be held both Oct. 3 and Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m.
Amateur Egg Eating Contest: This popular event will take place at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 3
Professional Egg Eating Contest: The pros will take the stage at 3 p.m. on Oct. 4
Costume and Crowing Contests: Both contests will start at 4 p.m. on Oct. 4
Silent Poultry Auction: This will end at 3 p.m. on the 4th.
