Like Surprises But Don't Have Room Enough For That Many Birds?
Cackle Hatchery® is now offering our mini Surprise Box. No choice of kind or amount of birds but Cackle Hatchery® will guarantee a bargain. Generally 20-26 numerous colors, breeds, and kinds of poultry sent in this fun surprise. We guarantee at least 18 healthy baby poultry on delivery.
Olive Egger Eggs
(1st-3rd Generation)
Each dozen will include an assortment of first, second and third generation olive eggers and back crosses for optimal colors of pretty pastels to the deepest greens, greys and browns.
Silver Laced English Orpingtons
Defining characteristics of the English Orpington include a deep, broad body with a short back, small head with a medium-size single comb, low stance, and fluffy feathers that give the breed its large, round appearance. They are incredibly docile and are excellent around children. The hens can be expected to lay up to 180 eggs per year and do sometimes go broody.
Rhode Island Red (Exhibition Type)
  • These will be much bigger and heavier than the regular Rhode Island Reds. They are a lot darker in color and have the right body type for show. They are bred more for show versus the regular Rhode Island Red being bred more for production, so they do not produce as many eggs.

Black Slate Turkeys

The Cackle Hatchery® Black Slate Turkey comes in mostly black feathers, with some occasionally white and slate grey feathers. As a young poult, it might have several white feathers but will shed and replace most of them to black feathers by 6 months of age. They make a great free-range turkey and priced for the bargain seeker. 
Crazy Cackle Toppies

As the name implies you will get a crazy looking toppy chicken that will have feather colors of goldens, blacks, whites, and buff feathering and not one overall feather pattern will look the same. They resemble the Tolbunt Polish and most will come with a full headdress toppy, muff/bearded feathering under the beak and lay a cream egg color of medium size.

We know everyone will be disappointed that we do not have a Cackle Hatchery® 2020 catalog. We plan on producing a 2021 catalog for next year. The website is of course up to date with new breeds and pricing. We are very sorry for any inconvenience this has caused.
