In 1986, the Family and Children's Trust Fund of Virginia was created to amplify community programs and initiatives focused on the prevention and treatment of family violence and the protection of children.
In honor of our 40th anniversary, we will recognize FACT Champions who have made a significant impact in strengthening individuals and families in each of the following categories of family violence prevention: Children and/or Youth Adults Older adults Families
Professionals and community members may nominate individuals who currently work in Virginia, have worked in the state within the past 12 months or support Virginia-serving organizations in the field of family violence prevention and treatment. Self-nominations are not permitted.
Each individual Champion will be honored for the role in advancing FACT's mission at a special event October 1st, 2026. Additionally, FACT will provide a $10,000 award to a nonprofit organization, selected by the awardee, that is working in the field of family violence prevention in Virginia.
