Did you know that countries such as Germany, France, Japan, India, Sweden, UK, Italy, Spain, Canada, Korea, Switzerland, Norway, Finland, and Latvia have trade and commerce organizations with representative chapters in U.S. states across country, including here in Colorado?
Yet no such equivalent exists for Israel.
While individual, unaffiliated U.S.-Israel business and innovation initiatives do operate across the U.S., they do not act in coordination nor are they funded or supported by any one single body or the State of Israel.
To address this situation, a new initiative is being formed to bring these unaffiliated initiatives together to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. Designed to strengthen connections among organizations and initiatives advancing U.S.-Israel innovation, the U.S.-Israel Innovation Exchange (USIIE) will play this convening role.
CO-IL has been involved from the beginning and serves on the USIIE's inaugural Steering Committee. The Michigan Israel Business Accelerator (MIBA) will host the inaugural USIIE Summit from October 13-14 in Detroit, Michigan, which CO-IL will attend and be featured.
