Help Secure the Future of

Colorado–Israel Innovation

Dear Friends and Partners,

Since our founding in February 2024, the Colorado–Israel Chamber of Commerce (CO-IL) has proudly served as the binational bridge between Colorado and Israel’s business and innovation ecosystems. Through the collective work of our volunteers, board, and community, we’ve launched programs, events, and partnerships that connect startups, investors, government, academia, and industry across both regions.

In our past two years of work, one thing clearly stands out: the Colorado-Israel economic and innovation corridor has vast, untapped potential.

Our mission at CO-IL has remained simple yet ambitious:

To advance bilateral trade, investment, and innovation between Colorado and Israel.

In less than two years, CO-IL has achieved major milestones:

  • Hosted Colorado–Israel innovation events in Denver and Tel Aviv.

  • Supported Israel business delegations to Colorado in aerospace, water, health, and energy. Represented Colorado at Israeli tech conferences.

  • Partnered with organizations such as Colorado Bioscience Association, BIRD Foundation, Elevate Quantum, World Trade Center Denver, and American Technion Society.

  • As the official BIRD Foundation representative in Colorado, achieved grant award for joint Colorado-Israel R&D technology project in quantum technology.

  • Featured at Colorado Startup Week two years running and in leading media, including The Jerusalem Post, Calcalist, IJN, and Denver Business Journal.

Every one of these efforts has been driven entirely by unpaid volunteers. Our modest operating funds have come from memberships, sponsorships, and event partnershipswith no salaries or staff support.

Now, to continue our work and grow, CO-IL must secure guaranteed, sustainable funding.

We are establishing a new 501(c)(3) Colorado–Israel Business & Innovation Institute, a nonprofit educational organization to operate in tandem with our 501(c)(6) business chamber. This will enable tax-deductible donations and grant funding, ensuring we can maintain staff and scale programming.

Our goal is to raise $300,000 to support:

  • 1FT/2PT staff positions across Colorado and Israel

  • Year-round business facilitation, delegations, and trade missions

  • Marketing and communications promoting both ecosystems

  • Operations and member services, for networking and growth

  • Research study & validating data analyzing bilateral economic potential

We are asking for your help:

  • Become a donor or founding funder of the new 501(c)(3) Institute

  • Board of Directors leadership, for governance, fundraising, networking

  • Sponsor programs or delegations in your industry sector

  • Connections to foundations & philanthropies, family offices, HNWIs, and partners aligned with CO-IL's mission

Your contribution ensures that Colorado remains visible in Israel, and Israel visible in Colorado, strengthening an economic relationship that benefits both communities.

With appreciation,
The CO-IL Team

What a Fall 2025 it's been for CO-IL!

September in Denver featured our highly anticipated dinner and film screening event of Technion 10² at the Denver Sie FilmCenter in collaboration with the American Technion Society. Thank you to our inspiring guest speaker, Neta Blum, who shared her personal journey.

We kicked off October with a joint Dinner & DJ Night Out with the French American Chamber of Commerce - Rocky Mountain Chapter at Corsica Wine Bar in Denver's River North Art District (RiNo) before heading to ReelWorks Denver for a show featuring Lost Miracle, the collaboration between French DJ Sébastien Léger and Israeli DJ Roy Rosenfeld. Thank you to RMFACC Executive Director Sacha Francois and everyone who came out for an awesome collaboration!

Next up was our private meeting at the State Capitol with Colorado Governor Jared Polis where CO-IL Co-Founders Jordan Kastrinsky (on zoom from Israel) and Jeremiah Baronberg had the privilege of briefing the Governor on the growing Colorado–Israel corridor and how we can continue building meaningful pathways for Israeli startups and tech companies expanding into the U.S. market through Colorado.

We followed up with our first-ever Colorado-Israel Ecosystem Event in Tel Aviv, hosted at Barnea Law Firm, bringing together founders, investors, and innovation leaders focused on bridging opportunities between Colorado and Israel—featuring remarks from our partners at Barnea, BIRD Foundation, Quantum Art, Ibex Investors, and Emet Surgical. Special thanks to our event sponsors Ibex, Tech7 Venture Studio, and BDO Israel.

Capping off October was our webinar on Colorado Life Sciences Innovation Opportunities for Israeli Biotech Startups & Founders, featuring presentations by leading voices from Colorado's bioscience ecosystem: Colorado Bioscience Association and Colorado Hub for Health Impact, Fitzsimons Innovation Community, Emet Surgical, Innosphere Ventures, J.P. Morgan, CU Innovations, and Cooley LLP.

Colorado-Israel R&D Project
BIRD Grant Awardees

AccuBeat & FieldLine Industries part of $5.5 million grant cohort

CO-IL is delighted to congratulate Israel's Accubeat (Jerusalem) and Colorado's FieldLine Industries (Louisville) on their joint BIRD Foundation grant award project to develop compact low-power, miniature atomic clocks and magnetometers using innovative quantum technology. Earlier this year, CO-IL hosted a webinar with BIRD and Elevate Quantum to highlight grant opportunities for Colorado and Israeli joint projects.

This award is the first under CO-IL's leadership and role as the official representative in Colorado of BIRD, the bilateral, binational program established by the U.S. and Israeli governments in 1977 to generate mutually beneficial cooperation between U.S. and Israeli companies.

CO-IL promotes BIRD grant opportunities, which provide conditional, non-dilutive grants of up to $1.5 million and helps guide prospective applicants and connect industry counterparts in Colorado and Israel.

The announcement is part of a $5.5 million investment in five new projects between U.S. and Israeli companies. In addition to the grants from BIRD, the projects will leverage private-sector funding, resulting in a combined investment of $14 million across all projects.

To be considered for BIRD's current Call for Proposals, projects should include:

  • R&D cooperation between two unrelated companies, one registered in the U.S. and the other in Israel. The companies should jointly apply for BIRD support.

  • R&D topics that include but are not limited to: Advanced Manufacturing, Agrotechnology, Cleantech, Energy and Environment, Communications, Construction Tech, Cyber Security, Electronics, FinTech, FoodTech, Healthcare IT, Homeland Security, Life Sciences, Nanotechnology, Semiconductors, Software, Water.

  • Jointly developed technology or product(s) that shows considerable innovation.

  • Proposed projects demonstrate significant commercial potential.

BIRD funds up to 50% of the R&D costs associated with the joint project. The maximum conditional grant per project is USD $1.5 million.
