Some Updates to the NOWS Program:

We encourage you to download and use our POWER and HUMAN standards for recreational boat operation instruction. The SAIL standard is awaiting approval from ANSI and will be available soon. Accompanied with the standards are the Technical Support Documents (TSD). The TSDs are very helpful in providing details for how to build the standards into your program.

|
|
|
Be sure to check out our National Recognized Standard Evaluators Program, which provides references to subject matter experts that course designers can work with to
help develop On-Water instruction. These
Standard Evaluators are ready, willing and able to use their
understanding of and experience with NOWS to
review programs, identify potential gaps, and make suggestions for
developing the full profile of skills contained in the National On-Water
Standards. Find the right evaluator near you and easily contact them for hire!
