Hello National On-Water Standards (NOWS) Program Volunteers,

We hope all are well and looking forward to a great weekend.

The purpose of this email is to follow up with you about the opportunity
mentioned in April that involved being part of the National On-Water
Standards (NOWS) Verification Program.

As you may recall, we are developing a three-tiered system that will enable
education providers to verify that their courses comply with the NOWS
American National Standards (ANS). As we mentioned, the NOWS Program is
developing the 1st and 2nd-Party verification processes and NASBLA
(National Association of State Boating Law Administrators) has developed
the 3rd-Party verification process.

The attached document is the invitation from NASBLA we mentioned to be
involved in the 3rd-Party verification process as a subject matter expert.
Involvement in the NASBLA program is a great opportunity to help ensure the
NOWS ANSs we have developed get used in the field. Also, involvement in
the NABSLA 3rd-party verification process will not prohibit you from being
involved in other 3rd-Party verification processes, or the 1st or 2nd-Party
processes under development.

Thank you again for all you have done to help develop the NOWS ANS. Your
continued involvement will help increase the level of safety and enjoyment
boaters’ experience on our nation’s waterways!
