Subject: Palisades Fourth of July Road Closures

The Fourth of July in Pacific Palisades is upon us. Here's a quick, simple breakdown by event of all the street closures to be aware of before you start driving to town.

Will Rogers 5/10k race:
  • 7 a.m. road closures begin for the race. 
  • Huntington Palisades access: All access to the neighborhood from Sunset and Chautauqua will be closed.
  • Sunset from Amalfi to Monument: Closed in both directions.
  • Chautauqua (above Sunset) and Drummond: Closed for the 10K course. 
  • 11 a.m. is the approximate time roads will reopen after the race course is closed.
Parade:
  • 1 p.m. Via de la Paz, Sunset, Drummond, Toyopa, Alma Real and La Cruz will have road closures for the parade route and staging area.
  • 4 p.m. is the approximate time roads will reopen when the parade route begins clearing. During this period, access to/from the Via Bluffs neighborhood will be by way of Haverford to Temescal Canyon Blvd. Access to/from the Huntington Palisades will be available along Chautauqua Blvd.
Concert and fireworks:
  • Noon westbound Bowdoin in front of Pali High will be closed.
  • 4 p.m. eastbound Bowdoin will be closed.
  • 10 p.m. is the approximate time the road may reopen.
