Woman Dies in Town House Fire
A woman, aged around 40 died, and a second adult woman was injured in a two-story town house fire in the 17000 block of Palisades Circle in The Highlands early Saturday March 4. A blaze was reported from the upper story at around 3:48 a.m, where fire fighters from station 69 and others realized that a woman had been trapped but, said Los Angeles Fire Department, she was deceased on the scene. The second woman was rescued from the ground floor and taken to a local hospital. It took 31 firefighters 35 minutes to bring the blaze under control: the cause is now under investigation.
