BREAKING NEWS: Palisades House Fire Extinguished; Cause Under Investigation

A fire that started this morning in a fireplace in a home on the 900 block of Enchanted Way in the Marquez Knolls neighborhood of Pacific Palisades was extinguished in 23 minutes, according to LAFD officials.

The residents were in the home when the fire started, and it was a neighbor who called 911, LAFD Battalion 9 Chief Al Abarca told the Palisadian-Post on the scene.

Approximately 40 firefighters responded and remained on the scene after the flames were extinguished to make sure there were no embers.

The exact cause of the fire is under investigation, LAFD officials said.  There were no injuries reported.
