BREAKING NEWS: Pali High Remains Closed, Other Schools to Reopen Thursday

Some LAUSD schools that have been closed in the Palisades since Monday when the Getty fire broke out will reopen tomorrow, Thursday, October 31: Paul Revere Charter Middle School, Canyon Charter Elementary School, Palisades Charter Elementary School and Marquez Charter Elementary School, according to LAUSD Board Member Nick Melvoin. 

Palisades Charter High School will remain closed and is expected to reopen Friday, November 1. 

Mandatory evacuation orders for the Palisades were lifted at 5 p.m. this evening. 

The Getty fire is currently estimated at 745 acres, with 39% containment.
