A motorcyclist was killed after a crash with another vehicle near the McClure Tunnel in Santa Monica on the westbound side of Interstate 10 this morning according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident was reported about 5 a.m. in the 100 block of the I-10, according to officials.

Westbound traffic is being diverted to Lincoln Street exit, according to the CHP.

As of 8 a.m., westbound lanes were still closed as authorities were waiting for the Los Angeles County Coroner's office to arrive on the scene.
