BREAKING NEWS: Getty Fire Burns 400 Acres, Prompts Palisades Evacuations, School Closures

A brush fire that was first reported at 1:32 a.m. near the 405 freeway and Getty Center Drive has grown to 400 acres, prompting mandatory evacuations in Pacific Palisades and the closure of schools. LAFD has issued mandatory evacuations from Temescal Canyon Road on the west, Sunset Boulevard/PCH to the south, the 405 freeway on the east and Mulholland Drive on the north. Evacuation warning extends to Topanga Canyon Boulevard.

LAUSD school closures include Palisades Charter High School, Marquez Charter Elementary School, Palisades Charter Elementary School, Canyon Charter Elementary School and Paul Revere Charter Middle School.
