Citing overwhelming community support for the proposed community and commercial center in Pacific Palisades, Los Angeles City Councilmember Mike Bonin today announced his support for developer Rick Caruso’s Palisades Village project.

“In all my years working for the neighborhoods on the Westside, I have never seen or heard this level of overwhelming public support for a project,” Bonin said. “I commend the development team for conducting exceptionally thorough and thoughtful community outreach. In fact, the most frequent comment I have heard about the project is ‘How can we make it happen faster?’”

Bonin’s Director of Land Use and Planning Tricia Keane read a statement on behalf of the Councilmember at a public hearing for the project at City Hall this morning.

More than 100 Palisades residents attended the hearing with an overwhelming majority of them speaking out in full support of the project.
