Are you ready to #BrandAudit? 😎

Every September on World Cleanup Day, hundreds of Break Free From Plastic changemakers organize brand audit events in their communities all over the world to hold plastic polluters accountable and demand action 💪

Here are a few reminders before the big day:

Send us your photos 📸

We are collecting #BrandAudit2022 photos and videos with the intention of using some for the report, social media posts, and other materials. The overall goal is communicate the 2022 global brand audit findings more effectively, and to tell the stories behind the numbers. Share your photos (and videos) with us to help us tell your story!

Find brand audits near you 🔍

Is it your first time getting involved in our global brand audit? Don't feel ready to organize your own? That's okay, you can also join an existing brand audit event near you by visiting our website. On our main page, scroll down to the Brand Audit Public Events map and click on the blue pin to get in touch with the event leader.

Save your branded trash 🍬

Please save a few samples of branded plastic packaging waste you find in your brand audit for an upcoming activity 😎

If you are already planning to return your audited trash to the polluting company as per the final step in our brand audit methodology, please do carry on. We just ask you to save a few items for this upcoming activity. Stay tuned!

The #BrandAudit2022 reel contest is still ongoing!

Show us your brand audit events in action by posting a reel on your Instagram account! The brand audit leader with the best reel will win access to an online course in Campaigning for Change, an essential guide for campaigning for change around the world 🙌 Remember to make your post public, tag Break Free From Plastic, and use the hashtag #brandaudit2022 🤳

General Reminders

👉 All brand audit resources and materials are available on our new website.

👉 Recorded training presentations are available on our training page in 7 languages, and the whole website is available in 18 languages.
👉 Please register your brand audit event! That way, volunteers in your area can find you on our events map and join the action.

👉 The deadline to submit your data to be included in the 2022 global brand audit report is September 30. Note that the data needs to be submitted in English.
