Subject: Communities in Belgium are speaking up on the impact of plastic production. Will you join them?

Hi ,

We all know that plastic production is toxic but do we really know how much it affects communities around the globe?

There are 13 NGOs challenging the Flemish authorities' approval of petrochemicals giant Ineos's plastic plant project in the Port of Antwerp, Belgium. This plastics installation was set to comprise two plants: an ethane cracker, which converts ethane to ethylene, and a plant that converts propane to propylene—both of which are raw materials for plastics. A part of their expansion has been suspended indefinitely.

In the Break Free From Plastic Toxic Tours, we take you on an online journey through these frontline communities to learn how they're affected by plastic production.

It doesn't end here. You can take things a step further by hosting your own Toxic Tour for members of your community or networks. It's a great way to start the conversation on why this matters and what you can do about it. And if you need support, let us know!
