Press Briefing: Asia Pacific Country Positions on Global Plastics Treaty

Environmental groups from across Asia Pacific will hold a press briefing on 23 July 2025 to discuss country positions and what to look out for at the upcoming negotiations for an international legally binding agreement to end plastic pollution. The briefing is designed to prepare journalists and other communications professionals who will cover the extended fifth session of the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee (INC-5.2) scheduled on August 5-14, 2025 in Geneva, Switzerland.

New Health Care Without Harm Initiative for Global Network Members in Latin America

This #PlasticFreeJuly, the organization Health Care Without Harm (Salud sin Daño) launches “Less plastic, more health”, an initiative aimed at the members of the Global Network of Green and Healthy Hospitals in Latin America that seeks to encourage the reduction, substitution and/or elimination of plastic products, promoting more sustainable practices without compromising the quality, safety and efficacy of medical care.


This initiative seeks to raise awareness and train health personnel on the environmental impact of the excessive use of plastics and on possible solutions and alternatives to minimize the environmental footprint of the sector.
