One of the ways we are able to find common ground is through respect for our differences.
Choose one person who has different views than you about politics. Ask them to share their views without interrupting them or disagreeing. Do your best to understand where they are coming from and why. Thank them for sharing their thoughts with you.
IF they invite you to share yours views, and you choose to respond, see if you can share your views while still remaining respectful of theirs.
