Subject: It's Time for Somebody Share Something

Friend:

Somebody Share Something was inspired by feedback from people who gathered for Everybody Start Something. They shared that some sharing is in order. The nature and form of this gathering emerged from a consideration about why we share, and how we share ideas, share our works, information, inspiration, and share practices, and how that sharing creates and sustains the kinds of creative communities in which creative professionals thrive.

Somebody Share Something is conceived as an open form within which composer and violinist Jack Campbell, choreographer and multidisciplinary artist Linda Arkelian, designer Markus Fahrner, musician and impresario Adam Faber, filmmaker and film festival director, Yuna Fahim and author Colleen Van Niekerk have self-determined the subject and form of presentations that will instigate lively exchanges of ideas about art, life and about making space here for creativity and community. Port Moody choreographer, director and movement coach for stage and screen, Cydney Uffindell-Phillips, will facilitate our introductions to one another and will support us throughout our evening together. Somebody Share Something is an independent, self-financed gathering of creative people working across creative disciplines and practices and across the boundaries of the Tri-Cities to share space and to share points of view. There will again be no registration fee. Rocky Point Spirits bar will be open with a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. There will be a food truck onsite and others nearby, so come a bit early and grab a bite to eat.

If you have any questions or require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact one of us at the e-mail addresses below. We look forward to seeing you and to sharing space with you at Somebody Share Something.
