Raiders Made

14 March - 5 May 2024

3008 Spring Street, Port Moody

Raiders Made is the second exhibition in Bohart's window space at 3008 Spring Street in Port Moody. It features a selection of seventeen plates and platters made by contemporary artists from across Metro Vancouver who have periodically gathered over the past twenty-five-plus years to 'raid' the Port Moody home-studio of ceramic artist, Gillian McMillan. The curator invited the nine participating "Raiders" from among the dozens and dozens of artists who have taken part in even more raids over the years, for the simple reason that the curator and each artist have had a personal or professional relationship, however tangential, over the past thirty-ish years. For the works on exhibition, the curator invited each artist to offer a work or two of their own choosing.
