Subject: Wanna go for a beer?

Lee Hayward's Total Fitness Bodybuilding Tips
Hey Friend,

There's just something satisfying about popping open a cold beer after a hard day...

For a lot of guys this is a big part of their life, and while enjoyable, it does contribute to getting a "Beer Belly".

One of the biggest problems with alcohol consumption is it shuts down fat burning!

The alcohol has to get metabolized first (i.e. zero blood alcohol) before your metabolism will burn fat and calories like it normal does.

Then when you combine that with the fact that most guys make terrible food choices when drinking, and you can see where the "Beer Belly" comes from.

You're never going to see anyone go out and have a few pints with their mates and then say "Hey guys, lets go for a salad afterwards..."

Heck NO... It's usually pizza, burgers, fries, hot dogs, etc...
Pizza and Beer = FAT GAIN :-(
So you get the negative synergistic effect...

Suppressed Fat Burning + Poor Food Choices = FAT GAIN!

Now the simple answer is to "Just Stop Drinking" but that can be hard to do. Especially if drinking is part of your lifestyle and you really enjoy it.

However, one simple trick that I've found helpful is to have non-alcoholic beer instead of regular beer.

In a lot of cases, you won't even notice the difference. If you're only having a few beers and not trying to get loaded drunk - then you're basically just drinking for the taste and enjoyment - and you can still get that from NA beer without suffering the draw backs of consuming alcohol.

Even if you just swap out some of your regular beer for non-alcoholic it would be a step in the right direction.

For example, instead of drinking a 6 pack of regular beer, why not have 3 NA beer and 3 regular beer. If you pour them up in a nice frosty mug, you probably won't even be able to tell the difference.

This is just one small step in the right direction that you can take to improve your eating and lifestyle habits and tip the scale in favor of fat burning.

The key is to focus on making progress, NOT getting hung up on trying to be perfect.

While stopping drinking cold turkey would be best - and it may work for some - it's not sustainable for many guys.

Being overly restrictive will usually make the cravings build up, and cause you to relapse back into your old habits... Leading to binge eating and binge drinking.

But if you can change your habits subtly while still enjoying the process, you're more likely to make a lasting change that will lead to better long term results.

This is just one of many "tricks" that I use myself and teach my personal coaching students so they can live a leaner, healthier lifestyle. If you'd like to learn more - just visit my website https://www.MuscleAfter40Blueprint.com
