Most of us have had parents or teachers that have said as much.

And I'm sure we've all said the same thing to ourselves when we've caught ourselves slumped over.

But while it may make sense, it simply doesn't work.

The reason why is because once your attention shifts elsewhere, you'll revert right back to your normal slouched posture, which typically includes rounded shoulders, forward head and an excessive thoracic kyphosis (hunchback).

Since there-s no way you can keep your focus on your posture all day, the only solution is to re-program your brain and body so that good posture becomes your new normal.

Then, you'll maintain a tall, confident posture all-day long without having to think about it.

Unfortunately, the common advice you get from therapists, trainers and even doctors to fix your postural issues isn't the solution.
