Our Personal Story?
First, before we explain who this little girl is, let us thank you for wanting to support this doll project.

I am Sharina Hill and my husband's name is Calvin Hill. Together we founded Thirsty Roots®, a leader in the black hair care information market.

Creating an African American Doll that will appeal to our culture of beautiful black women and little girls, is serious business for us.

It’s important for us to develop a doll with REAL African American features because we have a daughter.

Our daughters name is Anirah. That's her in the pics above.
She loves playing with dolls, but none of them resemble her. She asked my husband and I, "Why", and we couldn’t give her a legitimate answer. That day was horrible for us.

This is why bringing a doll to the market that has features like her, and many other daughters, sisters, nieces, and granddaughters makes us happy.
