The host: I am an English teacher in my home town. I am looking forward to receive people from abroad.

The place: My place is a Countryside place with a rich culture. You can find natural sightseeing spots (waterfalls, hills and forests) here and also a lot of history, biology and architecture.
I also have a partner hostel who offers hiking trails, museum visiting and local gastronomy.

You can stay at my place or at the school's place where you can find a room, a bathroom and a kitchen.

The training: You can choose between many academies around here to train your jiu jitsu. Most of them are under the DeLa Riva or Mario Reis school banners.

The host: I have been teaching Jiu-Jitsu in some way, shape, or form since 2006. I am grateful for the years of sparring and competition and a proud member for the Pedro Sauer Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association & BJJ Globetrotters. I am strictly sharing the art, flow rolling, and focusing on self-defense with the philosophy that each class should contribute to my health rather than be a risk to it. I am a single dad, Doctoral Candidate in Prevention Science, and plan/provide health interventions for Washington State University. I enjoy handing out with a beverage, building projects, and board games.

I want to make connections with folks in our community. So, feel free to reach out about matsurfing, collaborate on training research (i.e., injury prevention), teaching pedagogy (how we teach), or just join me or include me in your network. This all sounds very academic as I re-read it; Just know I care about folks who train Jiu-Jitsu am very laid back and easy to visit with. Humans are awesome and you are human. I am looking forward to contributing to and enjoying this community!

The place: Pullman is a university town with an engineering firm and area hospital. It is close to Moscow, ID, which is also a university town. The Palouse is an area of scenic beauty with the rolling hills of farmland. There are a couple of places to get out and recreate (i.e., Moscow Mountain, Steptoe/Kamiak Buttes, and the Snake River) and a couple of fun places to eat and drink. The Universities often have programs, art, shows, music, and events.

I have a townhouse. There is a fold-down couch downstairs and upstairs. Folks can sleep on a loft upstairs if you don't mind climbing. I also have a room with mats that someone can camp on.

The training: I have a small school in town and also teach classes on campus. We also have a partnership with a school Moscow Grappling, in Moscow, ID. You are welcome to train at both. Unfortunately, I do not have a cordial relationship with the other school in our area. It was their choice. Visitors are welcome to train where you like. I align with the BJJG philosophy.

The host: I’m a 48 year old husband and dad of two boys. I’ve been training for 2 years. I’ve attended 3 Globetrotters camps and train at GFTeam Tennessee. My wife is a mean cook and we enjoy meeting new folks.

The place: Germantown is a suburb 30 minutes outside of Memphis, TN home of The King and lots of good food. Great tourism city for a long weekend.
Memphis is a better city to visit than it gets credit for. Graceland, Sun Studio, Beale Street, great music, best BBQ in the country, and all kinds of food other than BBQ.

We have an upstairs playroom with two huge sofas, mattress to put on the floor and a full bathroom.

The training: Training at GFTeam Tennessee, a very friendly academy with about 80 members. There are at least one class or open mat every day of the week.
