| Welcome to our first ever newsletter! Beltchecker.com has now been online for nine months and despite the pandemic and Jiu Jitsu globally coming to pretty much a full stop for a long time, the site has kept growing and growing. Today, we count over 14,000 registered profiles and more than 4 million verification vote points given by our members. While Jiu Jitsu has taken a break this season, our group of voluntary developers, moderators and translators, has been working hard behind the scenes to expand and improve the site. We believe that we have already built the most extensive and trustworthy online database of Jiu Jitsu practitioners around the world. And this is only the beginning! Beltchecker is being built for and by the BJJ community and we are excited to see it grow. A lot of new functionality has been added to Beltchecker that you may not have noticed. In this newsletter, we wanted to provide a quick overview of what the site can do at this point! | | | Extensive personal profilesOn your personal profile, you can now list more information than ever about your Jiu Jitsu career. Build your profile and keep track of promotions, photos, competitions, instructors, students, photos, events, training history, achievements, etc. Everything in one place! | | Training logging and statisticsWith Beltchecker, you can log all of your training sessions and we'll provide you with extensive statistics on what you've been training, how many hours per week, how many rounds of sparring you do on average, what classes you attend the most in your academy and more. | | Academy management softwareBeltchecker offer academies a fully featured academy management software, for free! Use it to keep track of your members, payments, register attendance, communicate with your members, follow extensive and useful statistics on classes, members, training volume and belt promotions. You can even use our front desk check in software on a tablet to let your members check in for your classes! Or a coach can do it quickly on a phone or any other device. Here is a little video explaining the academy management functionality | | High quality belt rank certificatesVerified profiles can claim their belt rank certificates, which will be sent in both digital and printed versions, after a thorough manual profile review by our moderators. Profit from the certificates is one way for us to help cover expenses for developing and running the site. | | Extensive statistics on our sportWe, the developers behind Beltchecker, are data and statistics nerds and one area of the site that we are spending a lot of time on, is statistics. From our vast user database, we are calculating extensive statistics on our sport on everything from belt promotions, to competitions, gender, academies and training history. See all our statistics here. | | Integration with SmoothcompConnect your Beltchecker profile with Smoothcomp, and your promotion history and belt verification status will automatically be displayed on your Smoothcomp profile. Competition organizers may chose to require a verified belt rank in order to participate in a given division. | | Ranked ID cardsA bit of a novelty, but the little profit from these beautiful ID cards help us pay our monthly server and development expenses. You may claim yours only after your rank is fully verified. | | Multi language supportWith the help of our fantastic community, Beltchecker is now available in 12 languages and more are on their way! We currently support English, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Russian, German, Dutch, Spanish, Polish, Vietnamese, Czech and Japanese. | | An animated explainer videoThis little video is to quickly explain all our new users how the Beltchecker system works and we're kind of proud of how well it turned out :-) Click here to watch it. | | Academy profilesConfirmed coaches can claim profiles for their academy and use it to display everything from members to statistics, schedule, videos, photos and competition results. Academies could even use this instead of a website or Facebook page, to provide extensive information about their services. | | Events sectionEvent organizers can now post and promote their seminars, camps, competitions and more on Beltchecker. Users can register their attendance or interest in the events and the host can communicate directly with them through the event forum or messages. | | Instructional videos databaseInstructors can now add their instructional videos to their personal profiles. All videos are being collected in our library, where users can search for instructors or themes (such as a specific position or situation).
