Our first ever Arizona camp was a huge success, so we’ve decided to go back to the desert. All day classes, open mats and workshops, combined with on-site barbecues and breathtaking landscapes.
Cologne, Germany
Host: Jost
Can accommodate: 3

The host: I am an archaeologist and a father of three. Currently I am finishing my PhD-thesis and when I need to set my head straight, I love to roll with
the nearby PTCBJJ-academy. Our professor (4-stripe black belt Oscar Felipe "Japa" Neves) sadly past away earlier this year, but we keep rolling to keep his legacy alive... and hey - it's way too much fun to quit, right!?

Feel free to contact me! OSS!

The place: We live in an old chocolate factory in the southern part of Cologne (Südstadt or "Vrings Veedel" as the call it in the local dialect), which has a lot of great restaurants, parks, shops and bars. The Rhine and all the major sights like the cathedral are close and in walking distance.

I can offer a bunk bed and a sleeping-couch in a room, the kids use to play in. So there might be a possible danger of stepping on a lego block in the middle of the night... of course I will tidy up before you check in to avoid that! ; )

The training: We train three times a week (mo, wed, fri) in the evening. The Wednesday-Training is really close to my home (1 min. walk). There are usually several blue and white belts, on some Fridays a purplebelt from Krefeld stops by to teach. Mondays and Wednesdays we train Gi, Fridays is our NoGi-day.
Réunion island ( Saint Denis )
Can accommodate: 1

The hostRaised in Réunion island, I am an 28 years young martial artist.
Daily routine: eat - work - train - sleep - repeat.
Proud islander, I'm deeply connected to nature and I like to enjoy the tropical lifestyle.
I'm a jiu-jitsu brown belt, competitor (french national champion in my division ) & certified instructor.
Martial arts enthusiast, I also love studying self defense and combative arts.
So basically anything related to fighting, self protection or combat sports!
I speak fluently French, English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Strongly involved in the growth of the jiu-jitsu community here in Réunion Island, I like to visit academies and train with different people.

The placeWelcome to the intense island!
Jutting out of the ocean like a basaltic shield cloaked in green, Réunion is a scenically magical island that enjoys a truly astonishing diversity of landscapes. Expect awesome mountains, emerald forests, tumbling waterfalls, soul-stirring panoramas, energetic coastal cities and a sprinkling of white- or black-sand beaches – not to mention the formidable Piton de la Fournaise, one of the world's most accessible active volcanoes. With its extraordinarily varied terrain, Réunion is a dream destination for lovers of the outdoors. Hiking is the number one activity, but paragliding, canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, diving, whale watching and horse riding are also readily available.
But it's not all about nature, landscapes and adrenaline – Réunion has its cultural gems as well, including stunning Creole architecture in cute-as-can-be villages as well as colourful religious buildings and festivals.
Saint Denis is the administrative capital of Réunion Island and it's located in the north.
15 minutes away by car from the main international airport Rolland Garros, you will basically find everything you need here in Saint Denis.
The island by itself is a diamond mine so you should go all around and enjoy its's treasures.

My place is a minimalist studio apartment with all commodities in a secured residence ( fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, wifi, parking, washing machine + a nice balcony to dry your gi in the tropical sun.) You will sleep on a single place inflatable mattress and of course I can borrow you a gi if needed.
You will find everything you need near the apartment: Grocery and all kind of stores, market, gas station, restaurants & fast food, bus stops etc.
I live close by a community sport center where you can find a gym, a street workout area, a skate park, a dojo, tennis courts, a rugby field, football fields, swimming pool, outdoor running park etc .
Easily accessible my place is located 15 minutes away from the airport and 5 minutes away from the place I train jiu-jitsu.
Nice place to be if your goal is to train and have everything you need close by!

The trainingMy team offers 4 different places to train all the week in Saint Denis.
Open mats at mid-day and regular class at noon (mainly gi).
Training available also on weekends (open mat only)
Classes are run by black or brown belts.
Basically you can have all the training you want here in town!
Please notice that there are many Jiu-jitsu academies in Saint Denis city so you have the choice to go and visit others teams too.

I have a couch! I live in a townhouse that's pretty sweet.

You can burn a lot of money going through samples from the many thousands of factories in Asia, trying to find one that will provide you with the product as you’ve imagined it. We know, because we’ve been through it all, ourselves!
