August was a busy month of detours and travel for us with adventures in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and Michigan. Now we’re in Erie, PA for a few days exploring Presque Island State Park and other interesting attractions and activities in the area.
Depending on where you live, September is that wonderful time of year when we get to experience that slight breeze of season change from the lush warmth of summer into the whispery crispness of fall. This year is definitely one of change, heralding the start to new and different seasonal traditions while also contemplating and remembering the reason for those celebrations. Masks, Zoom meetings, hand sanitizer, and 6-feet of social distance….we can still make things happen, but just differently!
What can help us keep balance and flexibility at the helm of the topsy-turvy see-saw of current climates? There are ways to move forward with what is positive and at our finger-tips. Music is a universal language and one that heals and never leaves us. Art creates an experience. Books provide an escape and knowledge. Cooking and travel can be all about local adventure. History teaches us and does so over and over again. Business is about attentive communication and building relationships with integrity. Physical, mental, and emotional health is key to our existence.
Persevere we can, and we hope that the radio conversations and articles in this issue of Big Blend Radio & TV Magazine ignite some extra creative spark, a pound or two more of “can do” attitude, helpful advice, and plenty of laughter along the way as we navigate the waters of this ever-changing lifestyle. We can still learn, laugh, and love!
