 Dear Friend:

“The scenic ideals that surround even our national parks are carriers of a nostalgia for heavenly bliss and eternal calmness.” Robert Smithson

This spring issue of Parks & Travel Magazine features global adventures from New Zealand and Australia to England, as well as seasonal festivals and destinations across America. As always, history and the arts are part of the story lineup, along with tourism and hospitality news.

Our travels on the Love Your Parks Tour continues. We’re currently in Twentynine Palms, California, the gateway to Joshua Tree National Park, Mojave Trails National Monument, and Mojave National Preserve. More rain means a spectacular wildflower bloom could be in store, and we’re excited to experience and capture the beauty before we head up to California’s Sequoia Country.

In more tour news, we’ve just launched our brand new All Parks Matter Interactive Story Map that showcases the 180+ parks we have visited and documented so far. With National Park Week coming up in mid-April, this issue visually features some of the units managed by the National Park Service that we have visited on the tour.

We hope you come join us on in our new Big Blend Park Travel Community, a social site where we can all connect and share our park and travel adventures.

Big Blend Community - We’re celebrating the new decade by launching a series of 2020 Collaborative Challenges in our new Big Blend Social Community. From taking walks to visiting farms and gardens and finding that special and beautiful view for some quiet reflection, we’re launching a new challenge every two weeks! It’s a great way to meet, connect, and share experiences around the world. Come join us!
