Summer Art Camp (Ages 7-12)

Belger Arts provides four, one-week sessions of creative fun led by our experienced art educators. Each one-week session introduces new materials and techniques to campers ages 7 through 12. With a flexible full- or half-day format, busy families can choose the schedule that works best for them. Need before- or after-care? Our artists can keep your artists busy for an additional fee. Teen Studio Experience

Do you have a camper that is over the age of 12? Then try our Teen Studio Experience at Belger Crane Yard Studios! Our summer Teen Studio Experience is designed to inspire and coach students who want to take their art to the next level. Whether it’s throwing pots on the wheel, enlarging the scale of a hand-built sculpture, or experimenting with advanced firing techniques, our professional ceramic artists will help students achieve their personal goals and get the most out of their studio practice. Intro to Mold Making

Try your hand at Mold Making with Crane Yard Clay Manager, Joseph Hutchins! This four-week class will introduce plaster as a material for use in making molds to cast objects. We will focus on creating a simple one- or two-part mold with precision and functionality in mind. Casting slip will be introduced in the final week to create objects.

July 16 - Make Your Own Stemless Wine Glass

Whether it's cold water, iced tea, or a chilled sangria, everyone needs a cool drink to fend off the summer heat. Join us at the Belger Glass Annex on Saturday, July 16 to make your own stemless wine glass! Get a feel for what it's like to blow glass as professional glass blowers guide you through the process of adding color and shaping molten glass. Registration is $50 per person and open to all experience levels. Participants under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Date Night

Bring a fun friend or sweetheart to a Date Night Pottery Class at Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, KCMO). Learn to throw on the wheel, decorate what you make, and we'll fire and glaze it. Your finished work can be picked up one month after class. Date Night happens every Friday and Saturday! Classes sell out quickly, so don't delay!
