2023 Holiday Exhibition Call for Art

Belger Arts is seeking new art submissions for our exhibition, Holidays at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery. This call is open to artists from across the U.S., working in various media. The exhibition is an annual tradition that includes an array of unique artworks that are exhibited and available for purchase. We are looking for works at various price points, for the gift-giving season. They can be functional, decorative, or wearable, including one-of-a-kind statement pieces. Submission deadline is September 10, 2023. Holidays at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery will be on view from November 3 through December 30, 2023.

Introducing Kirsten Taylor

Kirsten Taylor recently joined Belger Arts as the new Installation Specialist and Gallery Associate. She brings a wealth of art handling and installation experience, and she is responsible for receiving and returning artwork, condition documentation, gallery preparation.


Kirsten is a multimedia artist based in the tallgrass prairie and holds an MFA from the University of Kansas and a BA in Studio Art from Baylor University. Kirsten has exhibited nationally at venues including 108 Contemporary, and the Leedy Voulkos Art Center. She was awarded commissions by the Spencer Museum of Art in 2020 and 2021. She was also interviewed by KCUR-89.3 about her 2022 collaboration with Johnson County (KS) Parks. Click here to take a listen.

Welcome to Belger Arts, Kirsten!

Summer Glass Workshop with Jessalyn Mailoa

Join us Thursday, August 31 at 6pm for an artist presentation by Jessalyn Mailoa. Learn about the multiple aspects of her work and how she incorporates glass in her videos and mixed media objects. On Friday, September 1 Mailoa will lead the Belger Glass Annex crew to create an original glass artwork. The presentation and glassblowing demo are free events and are in conjunction with her glassblowing workshop “Freeze, Fuse, and Form” at the Belger Glass Annex. 


Jessalyn is a glass and mixed media artist from Indonesia. Her work explores the emotion of longing in relation to the various facets of her identity including culture, gender, and disability. She is currently the Studio Assistant at Belger Glass Annex.
