July 11 - Small Shop: Belger Resident Artists’ Pop-Up

Friday, July 11 at Belger Crane Yard Gallery

Shop from 10AM to 8PM; Refreshments from 6PM to 8PM

Join us for Small Shop this Friday! Belger Artists-in-Residence will have small sculptures, tumblers, ice cream bowls, and more handmade wares available for purchase from 10 AM to 8 PM. This is a great opportunity to add unique artwork to your collection and meet resident artists Allyson George, Lucky Moe, Logan Reynolds, Hannah Schelb, and Warren Van Ryzin, who bring their one-of-a-kind styles and creativity to this special event!

Refreshments, including ice cream and root beer floats, will be available from 6 PM to 8 PM. Purchase a mug or bowl by the resident artists or from the gallery and enjoy a scoop of ice cream in your newly acquired work of art!

Meet the Resident Artists, shop their handmade creations, and cool off with complimentary sweet treats!

Also on View

While you're attending Small Shop at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery, you can also view Shifting Perspective: The Belger Arts’ Twelfth Annual Resident Exhibition!

The exhibition includes work the artists have completed during their year-long residency at Belger Crane Yard Studios. Exploring themes of memory, culture, and narrative, the six artists invite viewers to reimagine the familiar, explore existing perceptions, and shift perspectives.

Shifting Perspective is on view at the Belger Crane Yard Gallery (2011 Tracy Ave., KCMO) through September 6.

Free Group Tours

Art educators from across the country are in Kansas City this week for the Kansas City Art Institute's Educators ArtLab. They toured our gallery and ceramics studio recently and got to meet some of our Resident Artists, including Hannah Schelb (pictured above center).

Belger Arts offers FREE group tours year-round. To schedule a tour for your school or social group please contact us at gallery@belgerarts.org or call 816-474-7316.

Call for Artists

Belger Arts invites artists to Put a Lid on It and explore the lidded vessel form.

The notion of what we choose to hold inside can be literal or symbolic, practical or emotional. Put a Lid on It invites artists to draw upon these ideas when creating lidded vessels and covered dishes in their unique styles.

Apply by July 25 (11:59 PM CST). Exhibition dates are October 3 through December 31, 2025.
