Ceramics Classes

Check out our current offerings at the Belger Crane Yard Studios. We offer a range of classes for all experience levels:

Summer Art Camp

Summer Art Camp starts in July!

Kids Art Camp (ages 7-12): We offer four, one-week sessions of fun art projects. Kids can explore different themes, techniques, and mediums (clay, painting, collage, and more). Half- and full-day options are available. Before and after care is also available for an additional fee.

Teen Studio Experience (ages 13-17): Two, one-week (full-day) sessions are designed to inspire teens to take their art to the next level. Teens will spend time working in our ceramics and glass studios to bring their ideas to fruition.

Date Night

Date Night happens Friday and Saturday evenings (6:30-8:30 pm) at the Belger Arts Center (2100 Walnut, KCMO). Bring your sweetheart, a friend, or family member and enjoy a creative evening in the Crossroads Arts District. Learn to throw on the wheel, decorate what you make, and we'll fire and glaze it. Your finished work can be picked up one month after class. Date Night sells out quickly, so don't delay!

See what it's like to blow glass at one of our fun, monthly "Make Your Own" Events! Register online and pick a time that works with your schedule.

Summer Glass Classes

Learn to blow glass at the Belger Glass Annex!

Glass 1:

Four-week, Wednesday evening class: June 12 - July 10
Weekend intensive class: July 13 - 14
Four-week, Wednesday evening class: July 17 - Aug 7

Glass 2:

Weekend intensive class: June 22 - 23

After completing Glass 1, you can hone your new skills at weekly open studio sessions. After completing Glass 2, you can start renting studio time to make your own work and register for masterclasses.

Masterclass with Minhi England

Minhi England, a Seattle-based glass artist and season 3 finalist on the Netflix series "Blown Away," is coming to Belger Arts in June!

Minhi's five-day masterclass "Sculpt Like Everyone's Watching" is currently sold out. Please email khogan@belgerarts.org to be added to our waiting list. Don't miss the following additional opportunities to see Minhi in action and learn about her work and career.
