Call for Glass Artists

The Fountain Project

A Belger Arts-Powell Gardens Collaboration

Deadline to apply: January 16, 2026, 11:59PM (CST)

Project dates: April 23 through May 2, 2026

Unveiling date: May 1, 2026

Belger Arts invites artists to apply for a new opportunity involving the Belger Glass Annex and Powell Gardens, Kansas City’s Botanical Garden. This unique project brings together a team of glass artists to create a blown glass fountain designed by the Belger Glass Annex (digital rendering shown here).

We are seeking nine glass artists—three gaffers and six assistants—for the fabrication and installation of the design’s functional and decorative glass components. The team will work together at the Belger Glass Annex and participate in the transportation, assembly, and installation of the fountain.

We encourage early to established glass artists to apply. The application deadline is January 16, 2026 (11:59PM CST). For timelines, application requirements, and additional details, visit our website.
